Furniture with Custom Sitting Pose for IMVU

Description
Continuing with the TikTok Live streams and looking at using the IMVU Toolkit for Blender 3D to make custom products. In this exercise the ‘stool’ reference objects that helped with posing the avatar are now used in their own right to make a custom furniture item that includes a custom seat node to which the previously made pose will attach. Once the objects are in place they can be exported to FBX using the Toolkit, and imported alongside the pose for assembly, which require an Action triggered using the seat nodes name/label. On completion the project is uploaded to IMVU.

Object Position
When objects are appended into a new project they may not always appear aligned to the scene as they should so may need to be repositioned. If a group of objects have been brought in, link them together using Parent (Ctrl + P), then adjust the position manually using the Move (G) or Rotate (R) widgets. For more precision, in the Sidebar (N), in Transform [1], check and/or edit the X, Y and Z coordinates under Location – these are also mirrored in Object Properties [2]; when moving objects manually make sure to select the Active object that’s to be positioned at grid centre, the furniture items ‘root’ or ‘master’ location – in a groups of objects this usually means selecting the object to which everything in the group is parented. Note also objects are positioned relative to the active objects Origin.
